| Girl Scouts of the USA has served nearly 50 million
girls in its rich, 92-year history. Girl Scouting is open to all girls
between the ages of 5 and 17, and to men and women 18 years of age
and older.

for more information.
More than 880,000 adult members nationwide participate as volunteer
leaders, trainers, program consultants and board members --- dedicating
their valuable time, energy and expertise. Adult volunteers serve
as role models and mentors and help make a lasting impression on
the lives of girls.
Girl Scouts of the USA is a member of the World Association of Girl
Scouts and Girl Guides (WAGGGS), which serves approximately 3.5
million members around the globe.
To help keep Girl Scouting relevant to the wants and needs of young
girls, GSUSA's Girl Scout Research Institute explores issues that
face girls everyday, all around the country. Visit the GSRI
Web site to learn more about their latest findings.
